Born on November 15, 1950, in Mumbai, Sanzgiri's career spanned nearly five decades. He was a multifaceted personality, excelling as a columnist, author, television presenter, and even a music show host. His writings, primarily in Marathi, but also in English and other regional languages, covered a wide array of topics, including sports, travel, social issues, and films.

A Passion for Cricket

Sanzgiri's passion for cricket was undeniable. He covered every One Day International Cricket World Cup from 1983 onwards, offering his unique perspective and sharp analysis. His ability to blend historical references with humor made him a beloved figure among cricket fans. Beyond cricket, he authored 40 books and wrote for numerous publications, including Loksatta, Mid-Day and Saamna.

Harsha Bhogle, a friend of 38 years, expressed his sadness, noting Sanzgiri's beautiful writing style and ability to bring visuals to life. Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut also shared a heartfelt tribute, acknowledging Sanzgiri's popular columns in "Dainik Saamana".
